Singapore Botanic Gardens Trellis Garden
The Trellis Garden is a gateway form the adjacent MRT station along Bukit Timah Road. Accommodating a rare collection of climbers only found in Asian forests, it showcases different species of trailing plants. Nearly 5-meter high metal trellises cater to the growth of the climbers, to name a few: Uncaria gambir, Chilocarpus vernicosus and Beaumontia murtoni. Aside from allowing an appreciation of its extraordinary beauty, it creates a comprehensive platform for horticultural education.
